Ready to Own Your Worthiness? 3 Ways You Can Start Now!

JT - Self-worth comes from one thing - thinking that you are worthy. Wayne Dyer

Are you feeling like something is missing?

Maybe you are looking for that person, award or job to complete you? Or what if you lost that weight, then you would finally be worthy of love, connection and belonging?

Today we are going to be discussing worthiness, including –

  • What is Worthiness?
  • There are No Pre-Requisites For Worthiness
  • 3 Ways You Can Start Identifying Your Worthiness Now

What is Worthiness?

There are many definitions and ways to look at worth and worthiness. Some of them include –

  • “…having enough good qualities to be considered important, useful, etc” ~ Merriam-Webster
  • “…the quality of deserving respect and attention” ~ Cambridge Dictionaries Online
  • “…the quality or state of having merit or value” ~ The Free Dictionary
  • “Worthiness is not about who we should be or who we might be or who we could be. It’s about who we are. Right now. Today. It’s about waking up and believing, “I am enough.”” ~ Dr Brené Brown
  • “Worthiness is an as-is, here and now proposition.” ~ Dr Brené Brown.

There are No Pre-Requisites For Worthiness

Yes there are no conditions attached to worthiness – it is unconditional. You are worthy because you are here. The following 1.25min video from Dr Brené Brown sums this up so well.

3 Ways You Can Start Identifying Your Worthiness NOW

There are many ways to starting identifying your worthiness, however following are 3 –

1. Start Realising You Are Already Worthy –

After watching the above video, I hope you start to realise there are no pre-requisites to worthiness and you are already worthy NOW! Self-wroth also does not come from the outside world – you have to realise it. There is nothing to prove, say or do for you to already be worthy – yes truly… Give yourself that acknowledgement.

2. Start to Release Judgements –

Sometimes we look at each other and make judgements about whether we think they are worthy of what they have or don’t have. When we do that we forget that we are also judging ourselves in the process. Gradually over time (with awareness, commitment and practice) we can learn to unravel these judgements.

3. Discover Your Character Strengths

Yes you have them. Do you know them? Do you own them? If not, maybe it is time you did?

Over to You…

I hope this post on worthiness has helped you to start realising that you are worthy so you can live wholeheartedly. A final reminder ~

“Ordinary riches can be stolen, real riches cannot. In your soul are infinitely precious things that cannot be taken from you.”

~ Oscar Wilde
